If you’ve forgotten your password, username, or can’t log in, don’t worry—Fanatico has several ways to help you recover your account quickly and securely. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get back into your account.

1. Accessing Account Recovery #

You can access the account recovery options directly from the login page:

  • Forgot Password Link: Located just below the “Log In” button, click this link to start the recovery process.
  • After a Failed Login Attempt: If you enter the wrong password, you’ll see a message that says, “Sorry, that password isn’t right. We can help you recover your password.” Click the link provided to go to the recovery page.

2. Recovery Options Available #

Once you’re on the Account Recovery page, you have several ways to recover your account:

  • Recover with Email: If your email is verified, select this option. We’ll send a recovery link to your email address. Just click the link in the email to reset your password.
  • Recover with Phone Number: If you’ve verified your phone number, choose this method. We’ll text you a 6-digit code. Enter the code on the recovery page to proceed with resetting your password.
  • Recover with Social Networks: If you’ve linked any social media accounts (like Facebook, Instagram, or Discord), you can use these to recover your account.
  • Recover with Messengers: Similarly, if you’ve connected messengers like WhatsApp or Telegram, you can use these to regain access.

3. Step-by-Step Recovery Process #

Here’s how each recovery method works:

Recover with Email:

  • After selecting this option, you’ll see a message: “We have sent a recovery link to your email address [your email]. Please access it to recover your password.”
  • Open your email, click the recovery link, and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Recover with Phone Number:

  • Choose this option, and you’ll see a message: “We’ve sent a message. Please paste here your 6-digit code which we sent to your phone number [your phone number].”
  • Enter the code you received via text. If it’s correct, you’ll be taken to the Password Reset page. If not, you can request a new code.

Recover with Social Networks & Messengers:

  • If you’ve linked social accounts or messengers, select the appropriate platform, and follow the prompts to recover your account.

4. Recovering Your Username #

If you’ve forgotten your username:

  • Failed Login Attempt: If you try to log in with the wrong username, you’ll see a message saying, “Sorry, we couldn’t find an account with that username. We can help you recover your username.”
  • Click the link, enter the email address associated with your account, and you’ll receive a recovery link in your email.
  • View Your Username: After clicking the recovery link in your email, you’ll be taken to a page showing your username along with a message: “Your username is… [your username]. For security reasons, you are required to reset your password when resetting your username.”

5. Resetting Your Password #

Once you’ve recovered your account, you’ll need to set a new password:

  • Enter New Password: You’ll be prompted to enter your new password in two fields—”Your new password” and “Confirm new password.”
  • Password Visibility: Click the eye icon to toggle visibility and ensure your passwords match.
  • Validation: The “Set New Password” button will only become active once both fields are filled in and the passwords match. If the passwords don’t match or are too weak, you’ll see an error message with tips on creating a stronger password.
