Profile Overview #
Each user, whether an Idol or a Fan, has the ability to fully customize their profile to suit their needs and interactions within the Fanatico platform.
- Username & Display Name:
- You can change your username at any time without affecting your display name. Your username is the handle people use to identify and mention you across the platform, while your display name is a more flexible representation of your identity.
- Profile Biography:
- Add a personal biography to help fans and followers learn more about you. This is especially important for Idols as it introduces who they are and what kind of exclusive content they provide.
- Private Profile:
- Both Idol and Fan accounts can switch to a Private Profile. When activated, only approved followers or fans can see your posts and content. This offers additional control over who interacts with your content.
Privacy Settings #
- Tipping & Testimonials:
- Control who can tip you and who is allowed to leave testimonials. This can be restricted to your followers or made available to anyone visiting your profile.
- Follower Display Settings:
- You have the option to show or hide your follower count and the number of fans you have received. This is useful for those who want to control how visible their popularity metrics are to others.
- Star Ratings:
- For Idols, there is an option to display or hide your star rating based on feedback from fans. This rating reflects the overall sentiment from your subscribers.
Monetization (Idol-Specific) #
- Fan Plan Pricing:
- Idols can monetize their profiles by creating Fan Plans. These plans allow users to subscribe for exclusive access to content, direct messages, and other perks. Idols have the flexibility to set their subscription prices depending on the value they offer to their fans.
- Tipping:
- Fans can send tips to their favorite Idols as an appreciation for content or interactions. The amount for tipping is flexible and can be set by the Idol.
- Job Proposals:
- Idols can set specific rates for job proposals, such as personalized shoutouts, product endorsements, or social media campaigns. These job listings provide another revenue stream for content creators and influencers.
- Payment Withdrawal:
- Once an Idol earns revenue through subscriptions or job proposals, they can withdraw their earnings via Fanatico wallet, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or other conventional fiat transfer options such as bank transfer. However, withdrawals over $1000 require KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance to ensure identity verification.
Account Customization and Preferences #
- Email & Phone Verification:
- While not mandatory for account creation, verifying your email and phone number is required for purchasing or selling digital goods on Fanatico. Having these verified ensures a higher level of security and trust.
- Profile Picture and Cover:
- Idols and Fans alike can upload a profile picture and cover image to personalize their profiles. The profile picture is used as your main avatar, while the cover image adds visual depth to your account page.
- Social Account Connections:
- Fanatico allows you to connect multiple social media accounts to your profile, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), Google, Telegram, and Discord. These connections not only enable smoother interactions with your audience but also reward you with FCO tokens for each connected account.
- Rewards for Connecting Accounts:
- Each social account connected to your profile gives you bonus FCO tokens. These tokens can be used for in-app purchases, tipping Idols, or gaining access to exclusive content.
Location and Shipping Information #
- Country Display:
- Users have the option to display their country of residence by adding a country flag to their profile. This is useful for fans who want to support Idols from specific regions.
- Shipping Information:
- For purchases that involve physical goods, users can input a shipping address. This is required for transaction purposes but does not need to be publicly visible.
Security and Authentication #
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):
- Fanatico encourages users to enable two-factor authentication for enhanced security. This requires a second method of verification (like a phone or email) upon login, ensuring your account remains secure.
- KYC (Know Your Customer):
- For Idols withdrawing earnings over $1000, KYC verification is necessary. This involves submitting identification to comply with legal standards and prevent fraud or identity theft.
Notification Settings #
- Custom Notifications:
- Users can control their notification settings to receive alerts for messages, posts, comments, and exclusive offers. Notifications can be adjusted to show real-time updates, scheduled summaries, or turned off entirely.
- Language Preferences:
- Fanatico supports multiple languages including English, Korean, Spanish, and more. Users can set their preferred language for the interface, ensuring a comfortable experience on the platform.
Switching Account Types (Fan & Idol) #
- Seamless Account Switching:
- Fanatico allows users to switch between Fan and Idol profiles based on their needs. If you start as a Fan but want to offer exclusive content, you can easily switch to an Idol profile without losing your existing data.
